Dr Hawkings is the poster boy for all things brilliant and his handicap makes it difficult to not see him as an underdog/hero overcoming the difficulties of his life. If you do not think of this as being a biopic and just as a drama, I am sure you would find it quite dull. Without the real life person, and the story we already know, the director does not succeed in creating an adequate narrative to tell such a complex tale.

Although, I didn't understand what the characters were talking about when they were trying to figure out there physics theory and how it worked, I liked this movie. The Theory Of Everything. Rent it.
