This was an exciting follow up to Lady Elect by Nikita Lynnette Nichols. It showed how Arykah grew into being the First Lady of Freedom Temple Church of God in Christ. How she dealt with the trauma of being raped and attacked, the various behind the back attacks from some of the members who were just faking their Christianity. But the story ends on a good note because (1) those members who were dis gruntled left the church, (2) some members got blessed through Lance and Arykah generosity, and (3) Arykah finally received the Holy Spirit, along with her women that were her support team. This book showed what true Christianity is really all about, not some sit in a pew and be dead. It's about taking genuine interest in others lives to see them grow in Christ and to learn how God want you to see the deep inside stuff about yourself.
