"Jack and the beanstalk" has never been my favorite fairytale but this was an excellent rendition.

This book is great, even though it's a bit rushed sometimes, but it's a relatively short book so that's excusable. Also, I had a bit of a problem with the Duke's "turning" to the good side. I mean, the guy had been a ruthless, merciless criminal for years, and then this teenage girl just up and makes him cave in about ten minutes? That's a little twisted. But other than that the book is generally great. I liked the mix-up of two of my favorite fairy tales. Cameron Dokey has done it again!

I really enjoyed this book, it was a short read but it was a new spin on an old tail and i liked that. It was simple to understand and the story line is easy to follow. All in all a good book.

A quick and fun read that goes by far too quickly. I highly recommend to all who enjoy retelling of fairy tales.
