A very fast paced read, Indiana Jones meets Dan Brown. The Vatican secret service priest is a fascinating character.

Quite an interesting adventure novel, something reminiscent of Indiana Jones.

I highly recommend this book. Don't let the title deceive you on the contents of the story. WHAT A PAGE TURNER! Maybe a movie someday.

I have one motto that I believe to be true, most of the time. Never trust the blurbs of other authors as a good recommendation for the book to be read. And, the front jacket said that this was an instant master-piece. Wrong. It was a passable book, at very best.

The intrigue and mystery both start really well, and the characters are well defined and purposeful. The item at the centre of the mystery is one that has been sought in films and books since God, well, since God met Moses. But, as the action moves to the desert, it bogs down in it's own described sandstorm. The expectation was for a more satisfying end, and as the corpses piled up, so did my enthusiasm for the finale.

It is prophetic that the hero walks away holding a telling end of the "item" that killed the story.
